Creative, Design Director, Art Director: K•Swiss The Board

K-Swiss is a heritage American sneaker brand established in 1966 that’s known for one of the most iconic sneakers of all time, The Classic. With stylish shoes and an aging audience, K-Swiss found an opportunity to market toward entrepreneurial Millennials.

It started with a simple insight. Millennials aspire to be a new kind of superstar — an entrepreneur.

With that in mind, the K-Swiss Board of Directors campaign was born — an “influence the influencers” approach designed to let Millennials reset the brand themselves. Electronic music artist Diplo would lead 100 of these aspiring entrepreneurs through a series of assignments that would reshape the brand.

The Board was covered by scores of media and received over 180,000,000 impressions in social and digital media. The Board application website received more than 350,000 visits; 50% of web traffic was mobile and 90% was within target demographic of Millennials. The campaign engaged over 200,000 consumers, and during the campaign, K-Swiss received 40% social community engagement.

In this branded content film highlighting hat maker Nick Fouquet, we wanted to shed light on his process and romanticize the construction of the hats, while showcasing Nick in a way that would move the audience to want to find out more and seek out a hat for themselves. The film was featured in Vogue and garnered over 100K views, helping to market the business to a global market.

Interactive Designer: 30th Anniversary of Apple Site

We were tasked with branding and designing the site for Apple's 30th anniversary. Apple wanted to tell the story of their technology and the creatives that used it along the way, so we developed an interactive timeline that would show each year and significant product release.  Visitors were invited to be a part of the story by inputting data on the purchase of their first Mac and what they used it for. The result was a stunning and immersive experience featured on Mac's homepage, celebrating the generations of innovators who continue to change the world today.

I am Brazuca is the interactive film and TV spot that launched the official 2014 World Cup match ball, Brazuca. The film takes viewers on an immersive journey around the world where they can become the Brazuca... and see what it sees from every direction. It is the first interactive, 360-degree film ever released on YouTube and it features Messi, Xavi, Lahm, and many more.

Live Nation partnered with the largest youth media company in the world, Vice, to help them create music based content impossible for millennials to ignore. 

Vice worked in partnership with Live Nation in launching their first original video and editorial content website LNTV, boasting 40 original short form docs and daily editorial programming on the site and socials.

The future in 2016 for LNTV is bright with the shooting of Earthworks for VICELAND, Vice's Network Channel launching in March, and the distribution expansion of content to mobile, and OTT.

Nike approached our team about producing the product shots for their print and digital release of their P-Rod 8. The design aesthetic of the campaign was clean, technical, and athletic, and we needed to showcase 360 degrees of features. Our solution was to shoot the series on a custom built plexiglass "lazy susan", manufactured to follow the contours of the topographical outsole and to match the color of the shoe.

Ray Ban's 2016 campaign was all about positive change in the world. Vice and Bagavagabonds brought the message to life in a series of parties themed to creatively inspire youth. Parties were thrown in Chicago, Los Angeles, Austin, and New York. Each event activated a call to action from their campaign and motivated thousands of millennials to impact the world in their unique way.

The New Division released the track Opium, which took the electronic indie scene by storm. The song was everywhere yet it needed a story and a message to help push it into the screens of hyper and pop culture youth. One month of writing, two young stars, a weekend cabin shoot in Mammoth, one real bunny, and a tireless crew later, Opium the music video was born. It now boasts 155,000 + views and the video continues to impact people around the world with a tale of addiction and love.

Vice was K-Swiss's creative agency in 2015. One of our tasks was to art direct a series of product season shoots for their international campaigns, in store, and out of home marketing initiatives. 

I was brought on as the photoshoot art director and asked to aid in incorporating a fashion forward look to the brand. I worked with production in finding the right photographer for the campaign from our Vice talent roster that would bring that right amount of "edge", and then art directed a series of shoots using trend forward models and styling.
