Over the last two years, I led the CPG rocketship MUD\WTR's creative teams as the VP of Creative. Our mission: inspire healthy minds through healthy habits.
Before that, I spent nearly a decade as a Design Director and Creative Director at VICE. I helped launch Vice TV, worked on our Emmy award-winning show VICE on HBO, collaborated on epic parties with Boiler Room, and led a creative team developing multi-platform branded content for hundreds of brands.
My career started as a footwear and apparel designer at Reef, followed by a tour at Volcom, DC, Quiksilver, and Billabong, before transitioning to marketing and digital design at LA-based agencies Stopp, Tool, and Media Arts Lab. I helped design the 30th Anniversary of the Apple site, art directed the first 360 video interactive experience on YouTube for the World Cup and threw a film festival for Delta Airlines. It was pretty fly.
Raised by creative hippy parents in Montana, I didn't have a television until I was nine. And from a quiet yearning to fit in as a child and "just be normal," a necessity for storytelling emerged. (Funny how life works.)
I am endlessly fascinated by how we can use branded content to change culture. Nothing brings me more joy than working with open-minded humans on big ideas … Well, that and snuggling with our cat Jo-Jo.
